Day 4 - Manicures

Today we are going through how to perform a manicure, how to prep the nails & cuticles and all about hygiene of tools and work area.

Yay, I did my first ever manicure, and totally aces it...

Day 3 - Manicures

Today we started the manicure part of the course.  We all spent the afternoon giving each others hands and arms a massage.
The picture below shows some of the gear we have to use.  Omg there is so much stuff to buy and use, an almost limitless range of each item, absolutely jaw dropping in regard to the sheer amount of money you can spend on it.

OPI Simmer & Shimmer - 2 coats
China Glaze - Fast toward top coat x3
And just have to say her nails are HUGE and thick OMG.

China Glaze ridge filler, China Glaze Ruby Pumps #182 , China Glaze fast coward top coat

They turned out great and both loved them

Day 2 - salon work day

Today we are getting familiarised with salon procedures in readiness for our first customers.  Mwahahaha, poor buggers won't know what's hit em, LOL.

Day 1

So here I am at WCIT, it is the first day of the course.  I am one of three guys in the class, which apparently is a first, that is, having that many attending.  The tutor sounded excited by the prospect if it actually.

So I need a volunteer for my assessment days, Monday or Tuesday mornings to have things like mani's and pedi's, acrylic etc...  please contact me if interested

Australia Day Nails

Here is a Design I made for my wifes nails for Australia Day :)

Yeah I know, the quality isnt that great, the polish I used wasnt a particularly great one, nor was the top coat, it actually looked 200% better in person than the picture shows.

It was all done freehand, used scoth tape to mask the flag area and used water based acrylic paint to do that, then add the rhinestones and the star at the end, toped by 2 or 3 coats of top coat, i used 3 as the top coat was quite thin
